Our School offers Computer Application as a compulsory Subject from Class VIII onwards. We also provide Computer Lab periods to all the students right from Class I to X.

Teaching through TABS (provided by the school) is being adopted for class VI (as a pilot project) so that the children need not carry their text books to school.

The building is situated on 9th Main, 2nd Block, Jayanagar, has a built in area of 25551sq.ft. and, a well-equipped playground of an area measuring 8726sq.ft.

As the saying goes, “The only thing that is Constant is Change” – Heraclitus, we at Sree Rama Vidyalaya adopted the changes in teaching methodology, forced upon everyone by the pandemic, in a jiffy. We moved on from Classroom teaching to Online teaching. This being one of the biggest challenges ever faced by the industry, we welcomed all of it with open arms. Management and staff quickly pitched in with additional resources and time, right from the month of April/May to enable the students to stick on to the academic timelines.

It was a paradigm shift from the perspective of ‘Herculean task’ to ‘It’s not a rocket science!,’ thanks to all the quick learning by the teachers.

The Concept Of Online Classes

The Concept Of Online Classes adopted is actually “online” in its true sense. It’s completely interactive. It’s a real classroom setting, where the teachers teach from their own classes and students attend with the same discipline as followed in the school. Number of sessions conducted range from 3 – 5 for grades 1 to 10. Everyday assignments and timely project activities are being assigned. Class works are submitted online to the teachers concerned and is checked on a regular basis. Regular testing activity was also not compromised for. Online tests and online mid-term exams – both objective (MCQs) and descriptive (regular written test) was successfully conducted in a closely monitored environment.

Open house meet (PTM) is also conducted online. Parents happily participate and share their views and opinion about the progress of the online classes. We take the pride in spilling the beans that the parents are the utmost happiest lot.

Personality Development (SHRI)

  • It is a leadership programme for school children from 6 years to 16 years – it is learning through fun; through different modules for different age groups.
  • Skills and attitudes for life transformation for every child as well as mentoring is included in what is taught and learnt.
  • Parents’ workshops are also held for positive parenting and teachers’ workshop for redefining the art of teaching to help in understanding the needs of children.

Math Lab

  • Activity-based programme integrated with technology is implemented from classes I to VIII. It is ‘Learning by Discovery’. Building mathematical understanding and analytical skills will be on par with the curriculum. Abstract concepts are introduced through videos and expanded by providing hands-on activities.

Science Lab

  • This facility is provided for classes I to VIII. Simple experiments are conducted to make the children understand the concepts better. Topics selected for experiments will be on par with the curriculum.

Vedic Maths

  • Vedic Maths classes are provided for classes VII and VIII (ICSE & STATE). This is to help the students to work out and solve the problems faster.

Library

  • There is a well equipped library for children and teachers. Every year many reference books and books on different subjects are added to it.
  • Children are allotted a period for library in their curriculum.

Excursion

  • Excursion for the Kindergarten, Primary and High school pupils are being arranged every year.

Yoga

  • Yoga is a part of our curriculum from class III onwards.

Sports and Games

  • The students are divided into four houses – Ruby, Topaz, Emerald and Sapphire.
  • The school has sufficient open space to serve as a playground for sports and games.
  • There are competent Physical Education Instructors to train our pupils for participation in intra-school and inter-school Sports Competitions.
  • Sports Day is held every year and prizes are given to winners.

Steps to Success

  • “Intellect is only a part of a child’s overall development. Brain power must be rounded out by physical, emotional and social well being if a child is to flourish. That could be accomplished in an environment of warmth and pleasure which a School should take pride in providing.” This is our aspiration.
  • The school is secular in its outlook. Days of importance such as Independence Day, Teachers’ Day and Children’s Day are celebrated every year.
  • Ayahs who have been working in the school for quite a number of years, provide personal and timely care for all the children. Pure Aqua Guard water is available for children. Sanitary facilities are provided in each floor.
  • Parents and guardians are requested to co-operate with the school management and the staff in emphasizing the value of duty, discipline, devotion & dedication. Children are expected to come in clean uniform. Punctuality as always is emphasized upon.
